Konstandina Dounis

Dr Konstandina Dounis is an academic, author and literary translator. She conducted seminars on Greek-Australian Literature and Culture over a number of years at RMIT, during which time she also convened a series of conferences on aspects of Greek-Australian literature and identity. She is currently teaching within the Faculty of Education at Monash University. She has published widely – both in terms of scholarly articles, literary translations and monographs – on the Greek Diaspora, women’s writing and the complexities of historical recordings within the framework of migration. Publications include Retelling the Tale, an anthology of Greek-Australian Women’s Writing (1994); a collection of bilingual poetry, Poems for my Mother (2009); and a forthcoming new history of Greek-Australian Literature.
