Someone Else’s War – Greek Edition Book Launch

Saturday 29 June, 6:30pm at Steps Gallery 62 Lygon Street, Carlton.

The book will be launched by media personality George Donikian.

Someone Else’s War tells a story that has been in the author’s ears for most of his life.

“When I was little, my mum and aunties used to tell me stories of their mother, Olga. One day I was in Adelaide with my wife who was acting in a musical. I was telling some of the others about Olga, and one of the actors, a Greek woman said the story should be a tele-movie or a film. On that day, as they were playing their matinee, I went to Rundle mall and started writing. Since that day I have felt Olga on my shoulder telling me what happened to her, inspiring me and berating me if I go too far. “
